ScanCheck are a free software for your Uniden UBC 780xlt or BC3300xlt (BC250D). You can remote control you scanner from the computer. That way you can program the scanner from the computer. Another cool feature is that you can log all activity and make automatic recordings from the radio. you choose which frequency and channel you want to monitor. One er multiple channels.

UBC780
This is the UBC-780 XLT receiver (”policescanner”).
It was my first scanner, and since then I just loved the products from Uniden.
The great thing about this receiver is the size. It’s a “mobile” station and not the typical handheld version.
The radio fits perfect in the car or on my desktop. Because of the size, it’s very easy to operate the radio. Big knops and a great display with backlight.
This radio operates on 12volts (13.8v) DC and the current drain is about 700mA.
If you are an geek like me, you like to hook this thing up to your computer and that it’s very easy. Just get yourself a serial cable (RS232) and connect to your computer. When you buy this radio you get the original software, but you can also find 3. party software with more functions.
When you connect the radio to you computer it is very easy to program in new channels, make banks etc. Another benefit are that you can control the radio. Change frequency, mode and channels.
