N2JEU Web controlled IC IC-R75

One day I stumbeled over this great website. Here you can web controll a HF receiver. It covers from 0,03 to 60 mhz and the antenna is a 43ft Zero-five vertical antenna (160-6m). Just tune in the frequency and listen away on your computer. Love to to this when i’m not in front of my own radio.  Remember that multiple people can listen at the same time, so do not change frequency to often.

Remember to set the correct Mode for the band. The radio support AM, FM, LSB, USB, CW and RTTY. You find the site here: http://remote.n2jeu.net/ (direct link: http://remote.n2jeu.net/cgi-bin/icomr75.exe )

Scanner: UBC-780 XLT

UBC780

UBC780

This is the UBC-780 XLT receiver (”policescanner”).

It was my first scanner, and since then I just loved the products from Uniden.

The great thing about this receiver is the size. It’s a “mobile” station and not the typical handheld version.

The radio fits perfect in the car or on my desktop. Because of the size, it’s very easy to operate the radio. Big knops and a great display with backlight.

This radio operates on 12volts (13.8v) DC and the current drain is about 700mA.

If you are an geek like me, you like to hook this thing up to your computer and that it’s very easy. Just get yourself a serial cable (RS232) and connect to your computer. When you buy this radio you get the original software, but you can also find 3. party software with more functions.

When you connect the radio to you computer it is very easy to program in new channels, make banks etc. Another benefit are that you can control the radio. Change frequency, mode and channels.

Some facts:

- HF/VHF/UHF

- 25-512 / 806-956 / 1240-1300 mhz

- 5/7,5/10/12,5/25/50/100 khz steps

- Antenna connector: BNC

- 500 channels

- 30 channels/sec (scan-speed)

- Mode: AM/FM/NFM/WFM

I Recommend this product !
